What unites us all – Our Mission and why putting Christ first is important.

At HHI companies, we are like one big family. Like any family you have your ups and downs but overall it is GREAT to be part of this family. We believe in living a singular life so being at work is no different from being at home, church, with family & friends, etc. So what does that mean? If you live a singular life you are the same no matter where you are. Of course - having a singular life we hope that all of “our family” has their life centered in Christ.

So, let’s get to the question – what unites us? We are all working for a common goal. What goal is that you might ask? It is our mission statement:

“Our reason for existence is to glorify Jesus Christ, to strive for excellent transportation,

logistical, warehouse and distribution solutions for our customers, both domestic and

global. To treat all people with respect, dignity and integrity and to provide meaningful

employment for our employees.”

We encourage all of our HHI family members to memorize our mission statement and live by it. When we all work toward this common goal it makes work/life easier. We always say our mission statement has four parts so let’s break it down.

1. Our reason for existence is to glorify Jesus Christ: When we as humans come to the realization that we are here to glorify Jesus Christ and serve him everything else just falls into to place. Why? Because we have found our ultimate purpose in life.

2. To strive for excellent transportation, logistical, warehouse and distribution solutions for our customers, both domestic and global: Striving for excellence for our customers is very important to us. Without our customers, we have no business. Providing white glove service to our customers promotes longevity and a partnership that can make it through the good and bad times.

3. To treat all people with respect, dignity and integrity (RDI): If we treat others the way we want to be treated this comes easy. We are no better than anyone else and need to respect one another. Integrity is a big one, this can make or break a person or companies character. It is important to tell the truth to our customers, boss, co-worker, etc. even if we know it is not what they want to hear or we could be in trouble. What is the saying……the truth will set you free!

4. And to provide meaningful employment for our employees: Employees are much happier and love to be at work when they feel important and their job is for a purpose. We spend most of our time at work so don’t we want it to be a great experience and not feel like just a number? We want our employees to come to work for more than a paycheck.

Sounds like a lot. Not really. If you go back to #1, once we do this the rest should be easy. By glorifying Christ you want to work as unto him so doing a great job for a customer, treating others with “RDI” and providing a great place for employees to work just falls in order.
